About the role
Nga Tawa is seeking an enthusiastic and creative educator to lead our creative industries. Our current head of creative industries has made a significant contribution to the development and success of creative industries at Nga Tawa, establishing a strong and engaging programme. As she moves into retirement, we are looking for a special person to continue the growth and success of the department. About the role This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher who is looking to take the next step into a middle management leadership role. You will be required to teach in some of the following areas: Art painting Art design Photography Digital technology Design and visual communication Please indicate your particular areas of strength and expertise in your application. About you Are you an educator who: Is passionate about creative industries and enthusiastic about sharing this passion with students. Has strong skills and experience in one or more relevant arts or technology disciplines. Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Is organised and able to manage the responsibilities of a middle management role. Skills and experience Applicants must: Hold a recognised teaching qualification and be a qualified teacher. Have a relevant tertiary qualification in an appropriate arts, technology or related discipline. Have teaching experience in one or more relevant curriculum areas. Please outline your relevant qualifications, teaching experience and particular areas of strength within the creative industries in your application.
