Social Sciences Teacher

Glendowie College is a collaborative and innovative learning community. We seek an adaptable and enthusiastic social sciences teacher to join our highly collegial and well-resourced faculty. Alongside high academic expectations, we support our ākonga to develop as confident, articulate, resilient and globally-aware young people. In Years 9 and 10 we offer the IB Middle Years Programme. We have developed our own Year 11 Pathway designed to prepare students for high academic success at NCEA Levels 2 and 3, and Scholarship. An ideal candidate will: be collaborative and collegial build positive relationships with ākonga and colleagues be an exceptional classroom practitioner be motivated to contribute to the ongoing development of the MYP, Y11 Pathway and NCEA Programmes. This is a full time, permanent position starting 28 January 2027. Applicants need to be living in New Zealand and have the right to work in New Zealand.
