About the role

Join our teaching team- L2 Māori Medium We are looking for an excellent practitioner to join our team – First and foremost, we are looking for a strong practitioner –someone who puts ākonga at the centre, builds strong relationships, knows their learners, and is thoughtful and reflective about their teaching. You will understand what quality teaching and learning looks like, will hold high expectations, and will be committed to ensuring every ākonga can thrive. We are currently delivering the New Zealand Curriculum in our learning space, Te Kōhao o Te Ngira, grounded in a Te Ao Māori worldview. An important part of our direction is continuing to grow and strengthen our Māori-medium pathway at Level 2. Confidence and capability in te reo Māori, along with experience in Māori-medium education, are important for this position. We are looking for someone who can contribute authentically to this environment and help us continue to strengthen the quality of our provision. Alongside your reo and Māori-medium experience, you will be an integral part of our wider school team. We have high expectations for teaching, learning and professional practice across our school, and we are looking for someone who shares those expectations. You will be a collaborative colleague who contributes beyond your own learning space, values collective responsibility for all ākonga, and brings your strengths, ideas and willingness to learn to our wider team. If you are a strong practitioner who is passionate about Māori-medium education, committed to high-quality teaching and learning, and excited about contributing to the continued growth of Te Kōhao o Te Ngira, we would love to hear from you. Starting Term 4 or by negotiation.
