Assistant Head of Faculty (2IC) - Physical Education and Health

To commence at the start of Term 1 2027 (28 January 2027). We are looking for an emerging or current leader to support our growing physical education and health faculty. The person taking on this role will liaise with the head of faculty - physical education and health to support the day-to-day running of the faculty with delegated areas of responsibility. Responsibilities to be negotiated with the head of faculty. Please state any specialist areas and/or outdoor education capability. The successful applicant will have the skill and enthusiasm to deliver a curriculum that develops 21 st Century capabilities with learners. They will be able to collaborate with other teachers in the development of cross-curricular programmes of learning that engage diverse learners. Ashburton College caters for the majority of students in Mid Canterbury. We are a PB4L and Restorative Practices school and are currently working to enhance culturally responsive and relational practices.
