Kei te rapu mātou i tētahi kaiako ki te hono mai ki te Tari o Te Ao Māori me ngā kaiako ngākaunui ki te reo Māori me ōna tikanga.
Manaakitia te tangata, ahakoa ko wai, ahakoa nō hea E kōrero ana tēnei whakataukī mō ō mātou uara o Te Kura Tamawāhine o Whakatū. Ko ēnei uara te tūāpapa o ā tātou mahi katoa.
We are seeking a kaiako to join the Te Ao Māori Department, with a team of other passionate kaiako.
Applicants will enact the responsibilities under Te Tiriti o Waitangi and will continue to build and uphold our relationships with our Mana Whenua, Ngāti Toa Rangatira, on whose whenua our kura sits, alongside the seven other iwi of Te Tauihu. Applicants will draw from key documents such as NZC, Te Marautanga, and Ngā Kawatau me ngā Tūmanakotanga o te Tauihu to inform programmes of learning. Experience with NCEA or Māori medium teaching is an advantage for this role.
We are seeking an enthusiastic kaiako who:
Is passionate about teaching rangatahi Has a passion for te reo Māori, Has strong relational pedagogy Has high expectations for our ākonga, Can make learning relevant to life, Has excellent communication skills, and; be flexible, creative and organised.
A willingness to be involved in the wider life of the school is essential.
Applicants must have NZ Teacher Registration.
