Manaakitanga and whanaungatanga guide how we teach, lead, and work alongside tamariki, whānau, and one another. As part of the Future Focus Early Learning whānau, we are supported by strong professional leadership while intentionally shaping a centre grounded in reflection, connection, and purposeful practice. We are seeking an experienced Under 3 kaiako to join our calm, responsive, relationship-based learning environment for pēpi and toddlers. Our practice is grounded in manaakitanga, rangatiratanga, wairuatanga, kotahitanga, and whanaungatanga. We honour every ākonga as unique, taking time to know each tamaiti deeply and responding in ways that uphold and enhance their mana. We value kaiako for their unique ways of being and encourage authenticity, critical reflection, and growth. As a team, we actively examine our teaching. We refine and trial new ways of being and doing individually and collectively, ensuring our practice remains intentional and responsive. We take our mahi seriously, but we also know how to have a laugh and we value fun and curiosity as a part of our team culture. Te reo Māori me ōna tikanga Māori are woven authentically through our daily rhythms. Genuine partnerships with whānau and ongoing professional dialogue are central to our approach and a strong passion for being culturally responsive to each tamaiti. We are looking for a kaiako who: Is qualified and registered (or provisionally registered) Has strong experience with Under 3s Understands attachment-based, responsive practice Values collaboration, ako, and continuous improvement Brings their strengths, wairua, and personality to the team This is an opportunity to join a centre with clear kaupapa, strong foundations, and the support of a wider professional network.
