HOD Physics

We have a vacancy for an experienced teacher/leader of Physics to become our new HOD Physics. You will work with our Director of Science and other HODs to lead our large and well-resourced science department. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for the right applicant to demonstrate your expertise and leadership within a high performing department. Our department offers a full pathway in both NCEA and Cambridge currcular. Applicants for positions at Avondale College must be NZ registered teachers and will endorse the school’s academic priority as well as be expected to participate in the extensive co-curricular life of the school. The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the Secondary Teachers' Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $62,862 to $105,686 depending on applicants' qualifications and experience. Individuals' actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed. To start Term 1 2027.
