About the role

Pūtahi Belfast School is seeking an experienced, collaborative and relational teacher to join our team as our Learning Support Coordinator (LSC) . The successful candidate will work across our Junior (Years 1-4) and Senior (Years 5-8) Campuses, starting in Term 1, 2027. The Learning Support Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring children with additional learning needs are identified early and receive coordinated, effective support. Working alongside the leadership team, teachers, whānau, specialists and external agencies, the successful applicant will strengthen inclusive practice across our school and help ensure every learner can thrive. This position comprising 0.8 FTTE, Learning Support Coordinator (Permanent). Please note that an additional 0.2 fixed-term ESOL Coordinator position is also available for a candidate with the relevant skills and ability and/or desire to learn. 0.2 FTTE, ESOL Coordinator (Fixed Term). We are looking for someone who: is a registered New Zealand teacher with a current practising certificate has experience in learning support and inclusive education has excellent communication, organisational, and relationship-building skills has a working understanding of the Ministry of Education learning support processes is committed to culturally responsive practice and achieving positive outcomes for all learners brings additional strengths and expertise that will enhance this important role is innovative, flexible and has a great sense of humour.
