Kaiako in our Year 4-6 learning hub

About our school Two of our fabulous kaiako in our Year 4-6 learning hub are heading off overseas next year, so we are seeking two enthusiastic, reflective, and highly collaborative kaiako to join our collaborative team for the start of 2027. At our school, we do not operate in isolation. You will work within a collaborative team-teaching model, sharing collective responsibility for a larger group of tamariki. This is an ideal opportunity for an educator who values the power of partnership and enjoys co-planning and co-teaching. Our ideal kaiako We are looking for a kaiako who puts ākonga at the centre of every decision. The successful candidate will: Champion the individual: See every tamaiti as a unique individual with their own strengths, passions, and learning styles, tailoring your approach to meet them where they are. Embrace collaboration: Be a proactive team player who is excited to contribute to and learn from a highly supportive and positive team. Be pedagogically sound: Have a strong understanding of the NZ curriculum and of ways to personalise learning to meet the needs of every learner. . Demonstrate cultural sustainability: Value and uphold the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, integrating Te Reo Māori and tikanga into your daily practice to support success for all ākonga.
