Scale A Teacher Year 0/1 Fixed Term, Term 4

St. Mary’s Catholic School is a vibrant, multicultural school in Gisborne seeking an enthusiastic teacher to join our team for Term 4, 2026. This is a fixed-term position covering a staff member on extended medical leave. Key requirements Structured literacy: proven experience and competence in teaching Structured Literacy is essential. Special character: while applicants do not need to be Catholic, the successful candidate will accept the condition to support, uphold, and be positively involved in the Special Character of our school. Visa Status: applicants must hold current NZ teacher registration and full rights to work in New Zealand. Our school is not set up to sponsor work visas. Qualifications: Primary qualified or NZ-trained Early Childhood Educators (ECE) looking to transition to a New Entrant environment are welcome to apply. Current NZ Teacher Registration is required.
