About the role

We are seeking an innovative and passionate Teacher of Art to join our well-resourced and collaborative Art Department. This role involves teaching Art across Years 7–13, including junior foundational programmes and senior NCEA Visual Arts courses (Painting, Photography, and Design). The successful candidate will be committed to engaging boys in creative practice, developing their visual literacy, and fostering artistic confidence and innovation. Lindisfarne College is a state integrated Y7–13 day and boarding school for boys in Hawke’s Bay. We have a proud record of outstanding academic and co-curricular achievement that forms an important part of our special character. As a special character school, you will be required to support the Christian values that underpin our approach and contribute to the extra-curricular programme at the college. The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the Secondary Teachers Collective Agreement 2025 – 2027. Individuals’ actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed. The position is full-time and will can commence in 2026 or Term 1, 2027.
