NZ Registered French Bilingual Teacher (Years 4-6)

Birkdale North School is seeking an exceptionally fluent, NZ registered French bilingual teacher to lead a Year 4–6 French bilingual class starting in Term 1, 2027. This is a permanent, full-time position responsible for delivering both the French and English components of our curriculum. Our bilingual programme delivers the New Zealand Curriculum, with teaching conducted in French for three days each week. Essential requirements and criteria: Registration status: Active New Zealand Teacher Registration is required , or applicants must be actively in the process of applying for NZ registration. High language proficiency: Exceptional, native-level or near-native fluency and proficiency in both French and English (spoken and written) to seamlessly teach across both languages. Curriculum mastery: Sound understanding and experience delivering the New Zealand Curriculum. Teamwork and vision: Strong collaboration skills and a deep commitment to upholding our special bilingual programme.
