We are currently seeking applications for a permanent, full-time New Entrants and Year 1 Teacher to join our incredible team. Experience teaching Year 0/New Entrants to Year 2 students is highly desirable. As an Early Years Primary Teacher, your will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive learning environment that supports students as they begin their school journey. The role delivers high-quality, differentiated teaching programmes that promote academic achievement, wellbeing, and a love of learning, while supporting each child's successful transition into primary school. ACG Tauranga is a co-educational, non-denominational, independent school for students in Years 0-13, delivering the Cambridge Curriculum. The successful applicant will be a collaborative team player who contributes positively to the wider life of the school and is committed to supporting student learning, wellbeing, and achievement. Join us in providing a holistic learning experience that builds strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and collaborative learning. Start Term 1, 2027. Key responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences for primary students. Support children's successful transition into school through nurturing and responsive teaching practices. Develop strong foundations in early literacy, numeracy, and inquiry-based learning. Differentiate learning programmes to meet individual student needs, strengths, and interests. Monitor, assess, and report on student progress to inform next steps in learning. Create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment that promotes wellbeing and belonging. Foster confidence, independence, positive behaviour, and social development in young learners. Build strong partnerships with parents and caregivers to support student learning and wellbeing. Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to Junior School initiatives and professional learning.
