Year 7/8 Classroom Teacher (Fixed Term)

Mount Aspiring College is a year 7-13 school in Wānaka. We are a community school supporting students to achieve excellent results. We are seeking a teacher (beginning or experienced) who is wanting to support our students to be creative, curious, courageous and compassionate learners, and who has an interest and expertise in teaching Years 7 and or 8, to support the engagement of our learners. Strengths in structured literacy and mathematics are essential, as well as an understanding of the refreshed curriculum. This is a fixed-term position for 2027. The successful candidate will demonstrate: A strong understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum across English, Maths, Science and Social Sciences Enthusiasm for contributing to and developing their subject area The ability to connect with and inspire a diverse range of learners A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and inclusive education practices Willingness to work collaboratively within a team environment.
