We are seeking an engaging, enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to join our team at Sunnybrae Normal School. We are looking for someone who brings energy, creativity and a genuine passion for making learning meaningful, enjoyable and successful for all learners. We are seeking a teacher who: Is enthusiastic and brings fun and positivity to their teaching practice Builds strong, respectful and authentic relationships with learners, whānau and colleagues Is committed to creating inclusive learning environments where every child can thrive Is open to learning about and working in culturally responsive ways to improve educational outcomes for all learners Understands the importance of honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi and embedding culturally sustaining practices within everyday teaching and learning Is a collaborative and supportive team member who contributes positively to our wider school culture Demonstrates a growth mindset and is committed to ongoing professional learning and development. Initial Teacher Education (ITE) As a Normal School, we support student teachers to develop their craft by working alongside Initial Teacher Education (ITE) providers. This unique role ensures that our staff are continually refining their pedagogy, reflecting on their practice and maintaining high standards of teaching as role models for future educators. We are proud of our role in supporting new teachers into the profession and fostering a culture of professional growth and collaboration . Teachers joining our team will be expected to mentor and support students throughout the year and will be paid an allowance for this work.
