Junior Classroom Teacher Years 0-4

Rangitoto School is a small two-classroom rural school just outside of Te Kuiti set in a beautiful location. We are well-resourced with low class numbers and a supportive community. Our amazing junior teacher is leaving us and we are seeking a dedicated and passionate New Zealand registered teacher with strengths in structured literacy (we use the iDeaL programme) and maths for the start of 2027. Experience teaching in multi-level classrooms plus a strong curriculum knowledge would be advantageous. We are looking for a teacher who is well planned, organised and flexible enough to cope with all the activities and tasks that occur in a small school. You will need to be a reliable, collaborative, team worker who builds strong relationships with both students and their families – a good sense of humour is a definite plus! The position is a permanent 0.5 FTTE, however we anticipate that more hours will be available. This could potentially be close to a full time position depending on the applicant's strengths and funding available. A schoolhouse may be available if required.
