PE and Health Teacher

Albany Junior High School is New Zealand's specialist Years 7–10 school, dedicated exclusively to adolescent education. Located on Auckland's North Shore, we are designed around the developmental, academic and wellbeing needs of adolescents. We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated physical education teacher to join our PE and health faculty, starting in Term 1 2027. We provide a caring and inclusive teaching and learning environment, with a strong pastoral support system. Our values of whanaungatanga and culturally relevant practice guide our philosophy and underpin our teaching and learning. The successful applicant will be passionate about engaging young people in physical education and committed to providing high-quality learning experiences. We are looking for someone who is collaborative, builds positive relationships with students and colleagues. Importantly, we seek a teacher committed to the greater good of the school, someone who is flexible, team-focused and willing to contribute beyond their own classroom to support our students, staff and wider school community. The ability and willingness to contribute to sport, outdoor education and wider co-curricular opportunities would be an advantage.
