Healthy Active Learning Advisor, Full-time, Permanent

Harbour Sport is seeking a Healthy Active Learning Advisor to work alongside schools and kura across the North Shore and Rodney communities, helping create healthy, active learning environments that support positive wellbeing outcomes for tamariki. About the Role As a Healthy Active Learning Advisor, you will work directly with selected primary and intermediate schools and kura across the North Harbour region and contribute to a nationwide initiative. Healthy Active Learning is a joint government initiative between Sport NZ, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health and Health NZ – Te Whatu Ora. As part of the Healthy Active Learning initiative, this role plays a critical part in creating sustainable, healthy and active school environments that support the wellbeing of tamariki. Working alongside Boards of Trustees, principals, senior leaders and teachers, the Healthy Active Learning Advisor provides strategic support and guidance to help schools and kura strengthen their systems, practices and culture around healthy eating, drinking and quality physical activity. This is a relationship-focused and systems-change role requiring strong educational knowledge, facilitation skills, and the ability to influence and support change at multiple levels.
