Head of Learning Support (including SENCO) - Full Time, Permanent

Aquinas College is a high-performing, co-educational, state-integrated Catholic College for Years 7–13, situated in Tauranga. We are seeking a collaborative and empathetic Head of Learning Support (including SENCO) to lead learning support across our College. This is an important middle leadership role with a strong focus on ensuring students with additional learning needs are well supported to experience success. The successful applicant will provide leadership to our Learning Support team, working closely with teachers, students, whānau and external agencies, to build capacity of understanding and responding to behaviour of all students. We are looking for an experienced educator who builds strong relationships, communicates well and brings a practical, student-centred approach to inclusive education and learning support. Aquinas College belongs to a Science of Learning Cluster. Candidates must show willingness to engage with this Kaupapa. Support for the Catholic Special Character of the College is expected.
