As the Poutoko / Head of Faculty – Te Ao Māori, you will demonstrate fluency in Te Reo Māori me ōna tikanga, with the proven ability to foster an exciting, positive, and safe learning environment conducive to cultural pedagogy. Key qualifications and attributes Academic excellence: proficient in guiding students through NCEA Levels 1–3 and University Entrance across Te Reo Māori, Te Ao Haka, and Te Ao Māori. Cultural leadership: ability to lead our rōpū through Kapa Haka and support our tauira on their performance journey. Administrative and reporting excellence: exceptional organisational and time-management skills, with a proven track record of meeting administrative deadlines, maintaining meticulous department records, and delivering timely student progress reporting. Professional collaboration: able to interact professionally with staff at all levels to inspire team performance, streamline operational processes, and grow subject enrolment. Special character commitment: the successful applicant is to have a willingness and ability to take part in religious instruction appropriate to the special character of the school. This position commences: Term 1, 2027.
