Junior Classroom Teacher, Years 1–4 Fixed Term, Term 4, 2026

Our wonderful junior classroom teacher is retiring, and we are looking for an enthusiastic and caring teacher to join the Paparimu School team for the remainder of Term 4 and support our junior learners through to the end of the 2026 school year. Paparimu School is a small, welcoming rural Year 1–8 school located near the Hunua Ranges. Our junior class consists of 18 great learners across Years 1–4. We are looking for someone who can quickly become part of our close-knit school community and provide consistency, positivity and high-quality learning. We are looking for a teacher who: Builds positive relationships with tamariki and whānau. Brings enthusiasm, energy and a positive attitude. Is confident teaching across Years 1–4 and meeting a range of learning needs. Has knowledge and confidence teaching Structured Literacy. Has experience with, or confidence using, Maths — No Problem! Creates an inclusive, supportive and engaging learning environment. Enjoys the opportunities that come from working in a small rural school. Can work collaboratively with our senior classroom teacher and wider staff team. Is keen to become involved in our school and community. This is a great opportunity for a teacher who enjoys getting to know their learners and whānau and wants to help our tamariki have a positive and settled end to their school year.
