About the role
St Joseph’s Māori Girls’ College is seeking an inspiring, collaborative and experienced teacher to lead our mathematics department from 28 January 2027.
We are a Year 7–13 state-integrated school for young Māori women, with a dual special character grounded in te ao Māori and the Catholic faith. We aim to provide every student with the opportunity to achieve and excel.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and driven mathematics teacher to lead our department into its next stage. The successful applicant will have the ability to teach across curriculum levels and work collaboratively with staff to develop strong teaching and learning in an evolving NCEA environment.
We are looking for someone who can provide strong curriculum leadership, support colleagues, and bring fresh thinking to the department.

have strong mathematics curriculum knowledge have middle leadership experience understand and use culturally responsive pedagogy work collaboratively to improve teaching and learning outcomes be committed to ongoing professional growth actively support and contribute to the dual special character of our College.
