Scale A Year 7-8 Teacher

The successful candidate will have successful experience with: Being able to form positive, nurturing and inclusive learning-focused relationships and environments with emerging adolescents Having an up-to-date understanding of the Refreshed New Zealand Curriculum at Phase 3 (specifically in English and Mathematics) Having a sound understanding and implementation of formative assessment practices Working collaboratively Demonstrating a commitment to growth mindset and being solutions-focused Having knowledge and experience of ‘Teaching as Inquiry’ to strengthen your practice and improve/accelerate learning outcomes for tamariki Having a strength in developing and implementing learning-focused partnerships Being willing to give discretionary commitment to the school Committing to upholding the vision, motto and values of our school along with implementing the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the Primary Teachers C ollective Agreement . The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range depending on the applicant’s qualifications and experience.
