Learning Support Coordinator

Are you a passionate, experienced educator dedicated to ensuring every learner reaches their potential? Do you excel at building collaborative partnerships with whānau, teachers and external agencies? Tirimoana School is excited to invite applications for a LSC to join our staff team starting in 2027. As our LSC, you will play a pivotal role in designing, co-ordinating and implementing support for tamariki with diverse learning needs. Working directly alongside our SENCO, leadership team, and classroom teachers, you will foster an inclusive, supportive environment where all students can thrive. Recent Professional Learning and Development or postgraduate qualifications in Special Education, Learning Support or Inclusive Practice is desirable. Key responsibilities: Early identification and planning: Proactively identify learning support needs and collaborate with teachers and whānau to design tailored, strengths-based learning plans. Collaborative practice: Work closely alongside our SENCO, classroom kaiako and learning assistants to implement effective classroom-based supports. Agency collaboration: Liaison with external agencies, (MOE Learning Support, RTLB, health specialists) to secure and co-ordinate targeted resources. Learner-centered support: Work directly with students, tracking progress and empowering learner agency.
