Year 3-4 Mainstream Teacher

About Whakarewarawa School Whakarewarewa School is seeking an enthusiastic, committed, and capable kaiako to join our kura as a Year 3/4 mainstream classroom teacher from the beginning of Term 4, 2026. We are a kura that is committed to providing a positive, inclusive, culturally responsive learning environment where every tamaiti is encouraged to achieve, grow, and develop a strong sense of identity and belonging. The successful applicant will demonstrate: Strong classroom management and positive behaviour strategies. The ability to build strong, respectful relationships with tamariki, whānau, and colleagues. Effective planning, assessment, and evaluation of student learning. Strong teaching practice across literacy, numeracy, science, social sciences, health and physical education, technology, the arts, and other curriculum areas. A commitment to contributing positively to the wider life and culture of Whakarewarewa School. We are looking for someone who is: Passionate about teaching and learning. Enthusiastic, energetic, and positive. Organised and reflective in their practice. Committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for every tamaiti. Experience teaching at Year 3/4 level would be advantageous, although we welcome applications from teachers who can demonstrate the skills, knowledge, and enthusiasm required for the position.
