Design and Visual Communication and Junior Technology Teacher

Glendowie College is a collaborative and innovative community of teachers and learners. We have high academic expectations of our students, while also supporting them to develop as confident, articulate, resilient and globally aware young people. We have an opportunity for a fixed term, full time position (covering maternity leave) for a design and visual communication and junior technology teacher to join our well-resourced technology faculty, starting 12 October 2026 (Term 4, 2026) and ending 30 July 2027. In Years 9 and 10, we offer students an engaging and diverse IB MYP Design programme, followed by our own exciting Year 11 programme which is designed to prepare students for NCEA levels 2 and 3, and Scholarship. An ideal candidate will: be collaborative and collegial have experience in teaching NCEA Design and Visual Communication standards have a strong understanding of the creative explorative process and functional resolution in DVC have a sound knowledge in 3D modelling software and CAM outputs Involvement in the extensive co-curricular programme is encouraged. Applicants need to be living in New Zealand and have the right to work in New Zealand.
