About the role
We are seeking an experienced biology and science teacher to join our team from the beginning of the 2027 academic year. They will be experienced in teaching biology and science and able to lead and develop an established biology team as well as support the science department and work collaboratively. They need to be familiar with current NCEA and assessment requirements and flexible to meet the changing assessment, curriculum and qualification requirements. We have a well-resourced and well led science department and look forward to an experienced, collaborative and collegial teacher to assist in the strong leadership of this team with the specific oversight of biology and support and development of teachers of biology. Applicants must be team players and need to be NZ registered and show a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the values of our school. Palmerston North Girls’ High School is the only state girls’ secondary school in the Manawatū. We have outstanding NCEA results and work within a Culturally Responsive and Relational Framework.
