About the role

Cambridge High School (CHS) is a co-educational school, established in 1883, with a roll of approximately 1,800 students. Cambridge is in the heart of the Waikato region and has recently become a focus for elite sport with cycling, triathlon, kayaking and rowing establishing their New Zealand bases here. Cambridge High School serves the interests of the community incredibly well, meeting the varied academic, trades, cultural and sporting needs of our students. Places at CHS are highly sought after with families choosing to move into town to gain access to the school. We are looking for an innovative, energetic and relationship focused dance teacher to lead our programme. The ideal candidate will have strengths in developing culturally responsive practice, have a strong understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum and dance at NCEA level, alongside an enthusiasm for creating a curriculum relevant to our students. This is a full-time permanent position starting from Term 1 2027. One Management Unit is allocated to this role.
