About the role

Ngā Hau e Whā Cluster 28 covers 108 schools across the Wellington region from Wellington South to Pukerua Bay. Our RTLB are based in two offices: Titahi Bay Intermediate and Rewa Rewa School in Newlands. The successful applicant will work across the Cluster. We are seeking an experienced, relational and forward-thinking RTLB to join our leadership team as a Practice Leader (PL). This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about high-quality RTLB practice and, importantly, enjoys supporting others to grow, reflect and succeed. As a Practice Leader, you will work alongside the Cluster Manager, other Practice Leaders and RTLB to provide professional leadership, guidance and support across the cluster. You will play an important role in strengthening consistent practice, supporting effective casework and contributing to our strategic and annual priorities. We are looking for someone who: builds strong, trusting and respectful relationships has credibility as an experienced and effective RTLB practitioner is an effective coach and mentor who can grow the capability of others demonstrates culturally responsive practice and a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi has a strong understanding of He Pikorua, RTLB OS&Ps, Te Mātaiaho/ NZC, and effective RTLB practice communicates clearly and is comfortable providing constructive feedback works collaboratively and contributes positively to collective leadership is organised, responsive and brings energy, initiative and a commitment to continuous improvement. At the heart of this role is people and practice. We are looking for a leader who is approachable and supportive, while also having the confidence to ask thoughtful questions, challenge thinking and maintain high expectations for professional practice.
