About us Hutt International Boys' School (HIBS) is seeking an inspiring Principal to lead our school into its next chapter. Founded in 1991 and located in Upper Hutt, HIBS is a state-integrated school for 650 boys in Years 7-13. We have built a reputation for achievement, recording some of the strongest NCEA pass rates in the country. As a multi-denominational school affiliated to the Anglican church, our culture is underpinned by Christian values and core values of Honour, Integrity, Belief and Service. We are looking for a leader who will bring these values to life, driving academic, social and cultural excellence for every student. About the role Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the principal will: Uphold the school vision and special character; focused on enhanced engagement and outcomes for students Enable a collaborative, high-performing culture where staff feel empowered to do their best work ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning Build and maintain community and sector partnerships, profiling HIBS locally and nationally Support the implementation of mātauranga Māori in teaching and learning and promote whānau-inclusive events About you You will champion the special character of HIBS, bringing knowledge and passion for the education of boys, along with leadership expertise within a New Zealand secondary school.
