Year 9-13 English Teacher

Due to ongoing roll growth, we have a number of exciting new teaching and leadership roles available. We are seeking an encouraging, passionate, Christ-centred teacher of English to join our secondary team, teaching across Years 9–13. Our English language programmes integrate high academic standards with a supportive, faith-centered environment where every student is valued as a unique creation of God. Hamilton Christian School is a composite Christian school committed to offering rich, engaging learning grounded in a Biblical worldview. What we are looking for: A vibrant personal Christian faith and a genuine desire to uphold our school's special character. Ability to teach English across Years 9–13, including NCEA senior levels. A solid grasp of Te Mātaiaho / NZ Curriculum, text analysis, essay-writing frameworks, and NCEA assessment standards. Excellent communication skills, strong classroom management, and a heart for supporting student well-being and literacy achievement. A collaborative spirit who enjoys working alongside a friendly, dedicated, encouraging English team rooted in Christian values, biblical truth, and genuine care for one another. Applicants must be NZ-registered teachers with current NZ work rights.
