Faculty Leader - Create, Art and PE

Due to ongoing roll growth, we have a number of exciting new teaching and leadership roles available. We are seeking an encouraging, relational Christ-centred faculty leader – creative arts and PE to guide our teaching team across music, visual arts, photography, and physical education for Years 9–13. Hamilton Christian School is a composite Christian school committed to offering rich, engaging learning grounded in a Biblical worldview. What we are looking for: A vibrant personal Christian educator with a genuine desire to uphold our school's special character, modelling a vibrant Christian faith, embedding a biblical worldview into curriculum design, classroom culture, and team dynamics. Minimum of 3 years' experience and classroom teaching up to NCEA Level 3 within a creative subject or PE. Experience guiding students through NZQA Scholarship exams or portfolios is a distinct advantage. A solid grasp of Te Mātaiaho / NZ Curriculum, NCEA assessment standards, moderation, and practical/portfolio requirements. Strong communication, excellent organisation, and a passion for supporting staff wellbeing, creative expression, and student achievement. You will oversee day-to-day faculty operations, curriculum planning, NCEA moderation, and school showcases alongside a friendly, dedicated team. Applicants must be NZ-registered teachers with current NZ work rights.
