Year 9-13 Humanities (Social Science) Teacher

Due to ongoing roll growth, we have a number of exciting new teaching and leadership roles available. We are looking for an enthusiastic, relational Christ-centred teacher of humanities / social sciences to join our team, teaching across Years 9–13 (including junior social studies and senior humanities options). Hamilton Christian School is a composite Christian school dedicated to delivering high-quality learning grounded in a Biblical worldview. What we are looking for: A vibrant personal Christian faith and a genuine commitment to living out the school's special character. Ability to teach junior social studies (Years 9–10) and senior subjects within the humanities (such as history, geography, social studies, or commerce) at NCEA Level 1–3. Sound knowledge of Te Mātaiaho / NZ Curriculum, Te Takanga o Te Wā, and NCEA assessment standards. A heart for fostering critical thinking, source evaluation, and global awareness from a Christian perspective. Strong relational skills and a desire to contribute positively to whole-school life, encouraging a team culture rooted in Christian values, biblical truth, and genuine care for one another. Applicants must be NZ-registered teachers with current NZ work rights.
