Guidance Counsellor

Our staff are passionate about making a difference to educational outcomes for all our students year 9 to year 13 We are seeking an experienced, reliable and professional practitioner, who can provide excellent, confidential and supportive counselling services to our students. The successful applicant will work within our Kimiora team and closely with our Senior Guidance Counsellor. An ideal candidate will have the following: Secondary school experience and hold a current New Zealand Teaching Practice Certificate Have experience providing one-on-one counselling with young people, with preference to a school environment Be a collaborate team player within a multidisciplinary team of health professionals Be able to build relationships with students, whānau, caregivers, colleagues and management Have experience in making effective referrals to external agencies We offer A supportive and collaborative team Professional development opportunities to remain at the forefront in counselling services A chance to make a meaningful impact on the students of our school Join us in shaping the future generation.
