Assistant Head of English (3+ years’ experience)

We are seeking a dynamic and inspirational teacher to assist in the leadership of the English Department at Napier Boys’ High School. The role requires excellent organisation and planning skills, expert curriculum knowledge, plus the ability to engage, motivate and develop students and staff. The ability to teach senior English is a requirement and expertise in teaching Scholarship would be an advantage. Significant co-curricular (ie academic/sport/culture) involvement is also a requirement. The position attracts one permanent Management Unit (1MU) or equivalent and 1 lesson (per cycle) time allowance or equivalent (timetable dependent) Since 1872, Napier Boys’ High School has been a leader in boys' education, providing outstanding opportunities for young men within a world-class environment in one of New Zealand’s most vibrant cities.
