Northland Kindergarten Association (NKA) is seeking an inspired and dedicated teacher to join the four-teacher team at Doubtless Bay Kindergarten, Taipa. Located in the heart of Doubtless Bay, a stone’s throw from Taipa Beach, this Kindergarten offers a relaxed coastal learning environment where tamariki are supported to build independence, resilience, and self-care skills. Guided by Te Whāriki, our programme supports tamariki to become confident, creative, and intentional learners who are secure in their self-esteem, independence, social competence, and cultural identity. The team consists of five qualified and registered teachers, supported by a part-time administrator. We value whakawhanaungatanga and foster strong relationships with tamariki, whānau, local schools, and the wider community, creating a genuine sense of belonging for every child and their family. The kindergarten operates five 6-hour sessions Monday to Friday catering for 30 children between two and six years of age. The local environment enables experiences that help children build confidence, develop resilience, and gain an understanding of kaitiakitanga as they learn to care for and respect the environment around them. If your attitude is warm and welcoming; your communication style open and respectful; you are active in Te Tiriti o Waitangi practices and love working with children and whānau, then we are very keen to hear from you. Applicants must hold a recognised New Zealand ECE qualification (minimum Dip Teaching ECE), current practicing certificate, and first aid certificate.
