Unqualified Teacher/Kaiako - Infant Room

Launch Active Early Learning at Queen Street is looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and passionate unqualified teacher/kaiako to join our team in our infant room. We are a privately owned, purpose-built early learning centre in Hastings, catering for tamariki from birth to 6 years old. This role is specifically within our infant room, caring for pēpi aged 6 weeks to approximately 13-14 months. At Launch Active, we are passionate about building strong relationships, following children's interests, respectful teaching practices, and fostering collaborative partnerships between tamariki, whānau, and kaiako. We believe that trusting and meaningful relationships are the foundation of a safe, nurturing environment where our youngest learners can thrive. Our infant environment provides a calm, responsive, and nurturing space where pēpi feel secure, valued, and supported in their learning and development. We are looking for someone who is: Warm, patient, and nurturing Passionate about working with infants Flexible and adaptable Energetic and enthusiastic A positive team player with a can-do attitude Committed to building strong relationships with tamariki, whānau, and colleagues Previous experience working with infants or young children would be an advantage but is not essential. Student teachers currently studying towards an ECE qualification are also encouraged to apply. This is a full-time position of 32-40 hours per week, depending on the successful applicant and centre requirements.
