Team Leader – Curriculum Phase 1

This is an exciting opportunity to join our leadership team as Team Leader – Junior School (Phase 1 of the New Zealand Curriculum). You will teach with and lead a collaborative team of teachers working with our youngest learners, ensuring every child has a strong foundation for future success. As team leader, you will: Lead a team of teachers across Phase 1 with clarity, positivity and purpose. Model outstanding classroom teaching and maintain a visible presence in learning spaces. Foster collaborative planning, professional inquiry and reflective practice. Maintain a positive team culture where everyone feels supported, challenged and valued. Continue strong partnerships with whānau, recognising the vital role they play in every child's success. Contribute as an active member of the wider school leadership team. We are looking for someone who: Is an exceptional classroom practitioner with a deep understanding of effective teaching in the early years. Inspires others through their actions, relationships and professionalism. Has leadership experience or demonstrates strong potential to lead others. Is confident in giving feedback, coaching colleagues and supporting professional growth. Has a commitment to culturally responsive practice and honours Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Believes that every learner can achieve success through high expectations and effective teaching.
