Year 3 and 4 or Year 5 and 6 Kaiako

We are looking for someone to join our Karaka School whānau for the 2027 school year. Karaka is a beautiful country school with a roll size of approximately 250 learners. We are handy to the motorway, situated not far from Papakura on one side and Pukekohe on the other. We also have an amazing staff who work well as a team and look after each other. We are seeking an enthusiastic kaiako who is open to learning and will enjoy getting involved in all facets of school life. They will need to embrace our whakatauki 'ka whangaia, ka tupu, ka puawai' (that which is nurtured, grows and blossoms). The successful applicant will have current NZ Curriculum and pedagogical knowledge and be digitally capable. They will also be well supported in their role – the class year level will be mutually agreed upon. Both beginning and experienced teachers are welcome to apply.
