Physiotherapist

We are seeking a physiotherapist who is passionate about supporting children and young adults with diverse learning and physical needs. This position is ideal for an experienced physiotherapist or a new graduate with a strong interest in paediatrics. Our specialist school caters for students aged 5 to 21 years across multiple sites. Students present with a wide range of needs, including Cerebral Palsy, Autism, and other complex conditions. We are a multicultural school that values diversity and celebrates different cultures and backgrounds. Our school includes a base school with 10 classes, 14 satellite units located within mainstream schools, and a transition unit for students aged 18 to 21 years. Travel between sites is an essential part of the role, and applicants must have access to reliable transport. Mileage reimbursement is provided. You will join a collaborative therapy team comprising occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech-language therapists, and psychologists. This varied role involves working closely with students, whānau, teachers, support staff, and other therapists to enhance participation in learning, school life, and physical independence. A key focus is supporting staff to implement best-practice strategies throughout the school day. We are looking for someone who: Has a strong interest in neurodevelopmental paediatrics and working with children with additional needs Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills Has a positive, solution-focused approach Can effectively manage time and work across multiple sites Has an interest in postural management, wheelchair, and seating assessment (desirable) Is committed to evidence-based, neuro-affirming practice We offer a supportive and professional working environment, ongoing professional development, opportunities to grow specialist skills, and flexibility during school holidays.
