Teacher of English (Tagged)

We are seeking a Teacher of English (Tagged) to join our kura from the start of the 2027 school year. This is a full‑time, permanent position. The successful candidate will be able to teach students from Years 7 to 13 and will have a strong literacy foundation. You will be joining a progressive and experienced Department. Catholic Cathedral College is a special character, co-educational school with a maximum roll of 635, situated in central Christchurch. We are a culturally diverse, whānau-focused school and follow the charisms of our founding orders To Live by Faith. As this role is a Special Character (Tagged) position, a willingness and ability to take part in religious instruction appropriate to the special character of the College is required, and shall be a condition of employment. A Special Character Sch 6, Cl 47 form is required to be submitted as part of the application.We recognise the unique position of Māori as tangata whenua and ensure that our policy statements and actions promote the intentions of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
