Assistant Head of Faculty of Learning Support

We are seeking an enthusiastic and capable educator to join our learning support team as an assistant head of faculty. This leadership role focuses on advancing inclusive practice and improving outcomes for students with diverse learning needs within our de-streamed school environment, where all learners are supported to achieve success alongside their peers. Key areas of responsibility may include: Leading the development and delivery of Senior Foundation Programmes and supporting the development of pathway opportunities for students with learning support needs. Monitoring student progress, achievement, and outcomes for learning support provision within mainstream classrooms. Supporting teachers to build inclusive classroom practice through differentiation, effective support strategies, and enhanced teacher capability. Coordinating support and programmes within Junior Foundation Literacy and Junior Foundation Numeracy classes. Working collaboratively with staff, students, and whānau to ensure equitable access to learning and success for all learners. This role would suit a teacher with a passion for inclusive education, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to improving outcomes for students with additional learning support needs.
