Visiting teacher

Wanted: Qualified, fully registered early childhood education teacher. Join our home-based early learning service team, as a visiting teacher. If you are passionate about home-based childcare and enjoy variety and flexible working conditions in a fun environment, you will enjoy this role providing professional leadership and support to our in-home Educators. This role is part-time starting on 10 hours per week with the opportunity to increase as the network grows. Genius Early Years is looking for someone who has: an early childhood teaching qualification (minimum Diploma of Teaching) current full New Zealand Education Council practicing certificate experience in leading adults, including mentoring and coaching a full clean New Zealand driver's licence knowledge of professional practice in early childhood education understanding of Ministry of Education legislation ability to juggle a varied workload excellent time management skills self-motivated and enthusiastic excellent verbal and written communication skills ability to build and maintain professional relationships experience with learning stories, programme planning and some administration good computer skills. The main purpose of Genius Early Years is to provide high-quality early childhood education and care that delivers high-quality learning experiences for our children. This permanent part-time position would be based in the Queenstown/Otago region. The successful applicant would need to be prepared to travel around the region to support our educators and team. Our visiting teachers provide support and guidance to our wonderful group of home-based educators/nannies and au pairs, providing excellent early learning outcomes for our tamariki and whanau. Experience in leading adults and home-based childcare an advantage.
