Year 8 Permanent Teaching Position

Exciting opportunity Due to an external promotion, Hereworth School is seeking an outstanding Year 8 teacher to join our dynamic and community-focused teaching team. This permanent position will commence in term 1, 2027. Hereworth is a progressive, independent co-educational day and boarding school in Havelock North, Hawke’s Bay. With a proud 100-year history and our Centenary to be celebrated in 2027, this is an exciting opportunity to bring your teaching experience, co-curricular strengths and pastoral care skills to Hawke’s Bay’s only independent school. Experience in structured literacy and strong numeracy teaching would be advantageous. There may also be an opportunity for the successful candidate to apply for the Head of Year 7/8 Numeracy role, which includes additional MU payments and time allocation. Applicants should outline their teaching strengths and co-curricular interests, including sporting and/or arts experience.
