We are seeking an inspiring, authentic Centre Manager to lead our passionate teaching team and drive daily operational excellence. This hands-on leadership role blends Reggio Emilia inspired pedagogical mentorship with commercial and operational responsibility. You will work closely with our support team to maintain high occupancy, foster an incredible team culture, and ensure compliance with all Ministry of Education regulations. Key responsibilities Pedagogical leadership: mentor staff, guide curriculum development, and uphold high-quality educational standards in line with Te Whāriki. Team culture and development: cultivate a collaborative, positive workplace culture. Recruit, retain, and support professional development pathways for our educators. Operations and compliance: manage day-to-day administrative systems, budgets, and compliance framework requirements. Community engagement: foster strong, trusting partnerships with whānau, parents, and local community groups. Enrolment growth: actively promote the centre to manage enquiries, conduct tours, and grow enrolments alongside the centre administrator. Skills and experience required A recognized Bachelor or Diploma of Teaching (ECE) and current Teaching Council Registration. Proven leadership experience as an ECE Centre Manager, Assistant Manager, or strong Head Teacher looking to step up. In-depth understanding of the Reggio Emilia Philosophy, Licensing Criteria, ERO frameworks, and Te Whāriki. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
