Fixed-Term s chool leadership opportunity We are seeking outstanding educators with strong pastoral leadership skills to join our team as Whānau Leaders within our Year 7 – Year 13 composite school structure. This pivotal role provides strategic and operational leadership for a Year Level and Whānau, working alongside an Assistant Whānau Leader to support student achievement, attendance, engagement, wellbeing, and a strong sense of belonging. The successful applicants will: lead and support Tutor and Whare teams use data to monitor and improve student outcomes build strong partnerships with students, staff, whānau, and the wider community Promote positive behaviour, restorative practices, and student pwellbeing foster a culture of inclusion, identity, connectedness, and success. We are looking for relational, culturally responsive leaders who are committed to ensuring every learner is known, supported, and empowered to achieve their potential. These positions may suit an experienced Dean, Whānau Leader, or a teacher ready to take the next step in educational leadership. This position has also been advertised under the 'Auckland' region. For overseas applicants you are required to have a three-year specialist degree at Level 7 with a one-year teacher training Level 7 qualification. It is an advantage to have New Zealand teacher registration with the NZ Teachers Council. You must have a least 5 years’ experience in the classroom. Your conditions of work and salary are based on the Secondary Teachers Collective Agreement 2002-2025. The salary range is from $70779 ($34.02/hr) to $103086 ($49.56/hr).
