Deputy Principal: Learning Support, Attendance, Sports

Te Kura Tuatahi O Ngaaruawaahia is on an exciting journey and we are looking for experienced, motivated and passionate leaders to come join us! Due to a leadership restructure, special projects and a rapidly growing roll, our aakonga are looking for two leaders who are relational and have high energy to make learning responsive, fun and relevant. One of the positions is: Deputy Principal (3 permanent units with fixed term units negotiable depending on what other skills you can bring) - Portfolios include but not limited to: Learning support, attendance and sports . This has a 0.2 teaching component. A full job description will be discussed and negotiated with the successful candidate. If you are passionate about impacting the next generation, have strong pedagogical knowledge in raising literacy and numeracy across the kura, skills in digital fluency, able to think outside of the norm to bring about meaningful change, comfortable to challenge the ‘status quo’, want to share your skills and knowledge with your colleagues, strong and proven behaviour management skills, a desire to be active in the local community, come to mahi each day pumped and ready to shape the lives of tamariki, committed to extra-curricular activities and have an understanding of tikanga Maaori then we want to hear from you. The successful application will be NZ registered, display effective culturally responsive teaching strategies, and be committed to professional growth. The ability to teach across year levels is essential. We have a strong connected and collaborative team, small class sizes and a range of PLD opportunities. Visits encouraged.
