Physical Education Teacher

This is a permanent full-time position (1 FTTE) to start at the beginning of Term 1 2027. Iona College is a boarding and day school for girls in Years 7–13, with a strong Presbyterian heritage and culture of academic success and outstanding achievement in sport and the performing arts. Located in Havelock North, the College balances tradition with a dynamic, innovative learning environment for 330 students. We are seeking a passionate and experienced physical education teacher who will work collaboratively and inspire learning to the highest level. Applicants should be confident teaching physical education from Years 7-13 with the ability to lead and support other staff with outdoor education activities within our senior physical education programmes and across the wider school. The successful candidate will uphold the vision, values, and high standards of Iona College by demonstrating integrity and professionalism at all times and by supporting the special character and co-curricular life of the College. The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position are set by the relevant collective agreement. There is the potential to include Teacher in Charge of Health (1 x MMA) in this role.
