Deputy Principal

Springlands School is seeking an enthusiastic, forward-thinking deputy principal to join our leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a pivotal role within our school, leading our Phase 2 team and overseeing pastoral care across the kura. As Deputy Leader, you will: Lead and coordinate pastoral care and student wellbeing across the school. Contribute to school-wide curriculum development, teaching, learning, and assessment practices. Build strong, positive relationships with students, staff, whānau, and the wider community. Champion a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive school culture. Provide confident, empathetic, and effective leadership to our team. We are looking for someone who: Is an excellent classroom practitioner and experienced educational leader. Leads with clarity, empathy, and confidence, inspiring others to succeed. Is deeply committed to inclusive education, ensuring every child feels valued, connected, and successful. Is highly organised, solutions-focused, and able to manage competing priorities with calm and efficiency. Is approachable, visible, and actively involved in the life of the school.
