We are seeking an outstanding, future-focused educator with a proven track record of inspiring both students and staff. As Year 8 team leader, you will play a key role in guiding students through a pivotal transition year while fostering a culture of high expectations, collaboration, and agency across your syndicate. We are looking for a leader who: Inspires others: Brings energy, positivity, and a collaborative approach to leading learning and dynamic team culture. Demonstrates pedagogical excellence: Has deep knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum and effective Year 7–8 teaching practices. Empowers student voice and transition: Understands the social, emotional, and academic needs of emerging adolescents and can prepare them for a successful shift to secondary school. Builds strong connections: Possesses exceptional communication skills to foster meaningful partnerships with whānau, staff, and the wider community. Supports staff growth: Uses strong coaching, mentoring, and relational skills to build capability and support team members to thrive.
